Live in the Alps an experiment of flight out of the commun run.

Courchevel is of course the winter sports resort, within the field of the "Three Valleys".

It is also a high altitude airport whose exceptional situation will get unique feelings to you.

Runway profile completely respected, with its slope inclined to 18,5 %.

As well as possible Integrated into the native decoration of the simulator FSX, the scene models the seasons of summer and winter.

The whole is of course 100 % compatible with the Basepack Alpes from France VFR.

 

Terrain elevation :You will benefit from a relief in high resolution LOD11

Textures completely reworked from photographs : Villages, meadows, cliffs, rivers, all the details are present, adapted to the simulator display engine.

3d Objects : Such a précicision in the modeling of the ground made it possible to set up tens of elements, in particular the ski lifts of the station, of which largest (telpher carriers and cable cars), and for the first time, are animated !

The sloped runway with FS2004 :

Modeling the high altitude airport of Courchevel brings us to the extreme limit of what is possible under Flight Simulator 2004.
Indeed, despite all the artifices, the 18,5% slope does not allow to land a plane, it simply passes through the runway approximately seven times out of ten. We were thus constrained to cheat on the runway profile, by lengthening voluntarily the first tilted part with 13%.
Thus the plane, in all logic, touches the ground before reaching the second part which does not pose any problem with taxying.

This compromise allowed us to carry out a high altitude airport of Courchevel despite everything extremely realistic, by as well as possible respecting the very broken reliefs of all the zone, including the road tunnel passing under the runway.
